  Roma Framework Strategy: unanimous support in the Social Council

  The Employment, Social Policy, Health and Consumer Affairs Council’s (EPSCO) extraordinary meeting, held in Brussels, on 19 May 2011, unanimously backed the EU’s Roma Framework Strategy. The Strategy will be discussed by two other Council formations, and it will finally be endorsed by the European Council in June.

  Hearing of Minister of Zoltán Balog in the European Parliament

  Minister of State for Social Inclusion of the Ministry of Public Administration and Justice, Zoltán Balogh, said, „One of the Hungarian Presidency’s priorities is for the European Council to accept the EU’s Framework Strategy on Roma Inclusion”, to the EP’s Committee on Civil Liberties, Justice and Home Affairs and Committee on Employment and Social Affairs.
