  The EPP Group for the mobility of workers, for new skills and for the inclusion of people with disabilities

  The European Parliament voted this week at its Strasbourg plenary on three reports of the EPP Group: Traian Ungureanu (RO) MEP's INI report on promoting workers' mobility, Regina Bastos (PT) MEP's INI report on the agenda for new skills and jobs, and Ádám Kósa (HU) MEP's INI report on the inclusion of people with disabilities. MEP Csaba Őry (HU), EPP Group coordinator in the Employment and Social Affairs Committee finds all three documents adopted of utmost importance.

  Promoting disability requires a joint European commitment!

  "Our ageing European society cannot avoid integrating the more than 80 million people with disabilities into the education and labour market in order to manage current and upcoming employment challenges", said EPP Group MEP Ádám Kósa, host of today's EPP Group Hearing on Inclusion and Mobility of People with Disabilities. At the event, which was the first completely barrier-free public hearing in the history of the European Parliament, representatives of the European Commission announced that the new European Accessibility Act will be presented in the autumn of 2012. MEP Csaba Őry, EPP Group coordinator in the Employment and Social Affairs Committee gave a lecture on the challenges and opportunities of the employment of people with disabilities.
